Plasdan Injection Technology

Plasdan designs and builds a family of injection units, both hydraulic and electric. All units use the same proven control technology used by other large injection molding machine builders. 

Standard and optional control features for all injection units are as follows:

Shot-Pot Injection Units

 

As an option to our hydraulic units, we offer a "shot-pot" which allows up to 5 times more injection volume capacity as the corresponding reciprocating screw model. Here the standard unit acts as an extruder to fill the injection cylinder. Injection occurs via hydraulically powered piston (plunger). This provides large injection capacity in a very compact space. The unit can always be converted back to a standard reciprocating screw model.

Multiple Injection Unit Packages

 

Example of a double hydraulic injection unit,  mounted horizontally from the side ("L" configuration), turning a standard single barrel injection molding machine into a three-shot system. Also shown is a three station servo rotary table, and a three material injection mold. All device controls are integrated into the displayed controller (injection units, rotary table, mold safeties, valve gates, and hot runners).
